chelsea's note: for some reason my webspace isn't working. but if you go here you can see this entry in its entirety. how the hell do you spell that??

nothing exceedingly interesting has been happening, really, except for the fact sarah and i watched the entire first season (all 13 episodes) of "clarissa explains it all" today. she'd never seen it, but she really loves it. who doesn't?

while mom was here (through last wednesday morning) we dealt with claims adjusters and the unfortunate reality i have to shell out $500 to fix my car within the next six months. we went to the zoo, too, so have some pictures of that.

this capuchin was freaking mom out, and for good reason. :shudder:

truly depressing.

now that's cute.

yay! the uncropped, 1280 resolution version i have of this is excellent wallpaper. he's so adorable!

ryan taylor in high school opened my heart to lemurs, and now i just get melty when i see one. cute boys have that affect on weak people like me. like how i always finish french fries first before eating the cheeseburger, thanks to tony (short for anthony), this brother of a girl i knew in middle school. he also got me to eat tuna with mayo and a tad of relish. disgusting, but not as much coming from him. the best part is her other brother was the one everyone drooled over. leave it to chelsea to fall for the funny looking one.

anyway!

have you seen the emperor's new groove? "llama faaaace!"

i just may be the missing link.

oh, no, it's probably sarah.

this bird is freaking awesome. he can say hello, do a cat call whistle, and meow. yes, meow. i love him.

i'm convinced patas are actually old men. they're always doing something, like one time when two of them were inspecting a leaf. then, when you walk up, they stop and act like monkeys again. it's really weird.

there are several peacocks freely roaming the grounds. did you know they could fly? i saw it with my own four eyes.

again with the lemurs. so cute!

a couple times the one on the left would get food, and the other would come up and nudge it trying to get some, too. gotta love mooches, no matter what species they're from.

starving cat.

beans sits like this all the time.

i've discovered my photography roots, and they're in my mom. check these out:

may flies. totally sick. we found them overtaking a bush by the river.

i hate how i don't have elbows. it's so irritating. at least i have knees and ankles, though, unlike mom.

oh, she took this one, too. it cracked us up.

sarah and i bought some awesome 10 cent mustaches from terra toys the other day. owen said they make us look like hitler, but it's supposed to be charlie chaplin. duh. i also got a water gun shaped like a seahorse. it is currently my favorite gun. the guy working complemented my lip ring and pointed out the one in his ear used to be in his lip. he had to take it out when he started working there. it's a shame how society can't completely accept us freaks yet; there would be much prettier people in the world. by my standards at least.

terra toys is fun to play in. god knows you can't afford anything there of substance (something other than a squirt gun or mustache). so sarah tried on hats, and i took pictures. these are my favorites:

truly disturbing. i can only think of the play equus when i see this.

i really want this hat. the last time owen and i went, he even said it looked cute on me.

i'd be that excited, too, if i were topgun.

we went to see the bats last weekend with mom. my pictures didn't turn out swell, but i got one where they look like a jet stream.

that one creeps me out.

you get the point.

and there's nothing quite like an over dramatized sign!

that appears to be all for now. i went to the dentist this morning to get another filling on a root canal-ed tooth.

the dentist always leaves me looking like two face. isn't it awful how my lip, eye, and nose swell up like that? not to mention my whole face on that side just goes gimpy. look how my eye's dilated, too. bleh.

when we were eating pizza last week, part of the old filling fell out. i basically got a new root canal: he had to drill out all the old fillings and put new ones in. i didn't get a crown put on it like you're supposed to because we couldn't afford it, so the decay on the tooth has spread into my gums. i've got to go see a periodontist (gum dude) to get my crown lengthened. from what i can tell, that just means he's going to cut away some of my gums, and i'm going to have to heal for 4-6 weeks. the thing today cost me $60, and i don't even want to know what the gum doctor's going to charge. the crown, after lab fees and a temporary crown fee (how lame is that? i've gone years without one, after all) is going to be $365. at least i have a couple month before i have to pay that. and then there's the $500 for the car. i don't even have that much on credit cards to pay all this. le sigh.

anyway, all this talk is bringing me down, so i'm going to return to the living room. being at home all day really inspires a person to clean, did you know? i've decided when i grow up, i'm going to be a housewife. yep.
