yesterday i discovered if bottles of toxic chemicals say you should avoid prolonged exposure to their fumes, you'll get sick if you don't. who'da thunk it, right? i was tilex-ing the entire tub area�tub and surrounding walls�and after about half an hour i thought i was going to choke to death and my eyeballs would start bleeding. tilex is hardcore stuff, but it's the answer to my prayers. there was this one corner that housed conditioner, and behind the bottle was all this black nastiness. now, it's blinding white. awesome! i was stressing big time over how to get it all clean.
mom's visit is turning me into one of those crazy people on tv who freak out because their mom is going to completely bury them in critisicm for any little thing. the thing is, my mom wouldn't. well, she would, but it wouldn't be malicious like the tv moms. she would help some, like she did after i moved in. nana's the same way. whenever she goes to my family's house, she ends up doing laundry and cleaning everything.
i think a part of me doesn't want to have mom thinking about getting my apartment clean. plus, i'm a big girl now and shouldn't live in filth. so i at least want to lead her to believe that i don't.
i bought carpet stuff for vacuuming, the heb "vanilla cookie." it smells soooooo good you just want to start eating the air. mom really likes that smell, so i'm going to vacuum right before they get here. ^_^
today is lauren's 20th birthday, and sadly i don't even have an embarrassing picture of her to give you. so...here's a picture of her with a card on her head!
yes, it's kind of blurry, and no, a stranger couldn't pick her out. but i've suddenly realized this is the only picture of her that i have! now i feel more obligated than ever to go to her place tonight. plus, she made a captain planet reference in the invitation.
ho hum. so much cleaning to do, so little lung strength to deal with the chemicals. and so sleepy. :yawn:
