when using whence, please don't add from in front of it. the word means "from where." i don't care if dictionary.com wants to say that because the king james bible uses "from whence" in psalms that means it's right. the etymology is very straight-forward: from old english whennes.

i would also like to take this moment to remind you that wherefore means "why," not "where."
