the other night owen and i were rocking out to "i'm proud to be an american" on the radio. you know the song i'm talking about. in elementary school, every morning over the PA we'd say the pledge, and on fridays we'd sing a song. sometimes it was that song, other times our school song and fight song. so i told him my elementary school's fight song.
hey buckin' broncos, come on over here.
join in with your classmates, let's give us a cheer.
get all your grades up, always try your best,
turn in all your homework and you'll pass every test.
you gotta go for the gusto, fill yourself with pride.
listen to your teachers, let them be your guide.
so get on with the business of excellence, let it be your will.
bring a victory to forest hill.
