owen's buying a tv since he couldn't fit his on the way down here. his parents gave him money for the one up there, $360, so they can keep it. we went tv shopping yesterday at best buy and found a pretty 27" flat screen for $500. there's one that's 24" for $430, but we both have the same reasoning: if you're already paying over $400 for something, what's another $70? [we're horrific consumers.] what i wanted was the 60" plasma, but he said $4000 was too much.

so yay for new tvs. it's sad, considering he just re-wired everything in mine such that now everything but the N64 is hooked up. "everything" being:

vcr
dvd player
nes
snes
turbo grafx
genesis
ps2
dreamcast
xbox

stephanie asked how he did that, and i could only reply that i had no idea but that's why i love him. the new tv has a built-in vcr and dvd player, so soon my hey you! pikachu N64 shall be played!

i wined and dined him at macaroni grill last night. in a mere three days i'll be able to wine, too! i'm going in public that very day to consume alcohol in a restaurant. it shall be glorious. then i'm going to a liquor store to get cheap vodka or, i dunno, something. what with my ample income and legality, i can now contribute to my co-workers alcoholism. rock on.

as we were sitting on the futon last night before going to bed, i drew a heart on owen's hand with a pink pen. he took my hand and pressed his into it, leaving a copy of it on my right knuckles. i'm not sure why, but it was awfully cute. it's still there, and didn't even leave a mark on my face while i slept.

i brought his spiffy and expensive nes-controller-look-alike gameboy to work and have been working my way through mario and luigi's superstar saga. i think that's what it's called. despite my hatred of rpgs, i love mario ones. i want a gba advanced. the red one. they've even gone down to $80. le sigh. i've just got the crappy gba without the backlight.

anyhoot i'm just bored and too busy to play, so i figured i'd ramble on in here. it appears i'm healing from the plague, but then again i thought that last week and almost died over the weekend.

oh yeah, and acl. i'd forgotten about all that mess until i visited a garage where everyone's parking for it. oy it's a zoo. i'm coming to this one tomorrow even though it's a couple blocks further away to avoid all that crap.
