todays plans: coughing and taking pictures in the park

i just remembered that not too long ago, on my last trip to longview, i saw a shooting star. when i was at kyle's last week he said he saw one while we stood on the balcony. as i was reading some random person's diary, they mentioned shooting stars, and this jogged my memory. the point is, i made a wish on that shooting star, and i hope it comes true. it wasn't my usual ridiculous-type wish. it was possible. the other night on my way to longview, i wished on a normal star. it wasn't even the first one i'd seen that night. i'm sure it's not difficult to guess what my wishes were, but i still can't tell.

this is one of my favorite pages from black orchid. i had to use angelfire because doug's got yahoo dsl, and if i log out of him in geocities i'm no longer connected to the internet. if, later, i get the inspiration to decode angelfire's way of building websites, i can show you a few better pages. better aesthetically, that is. when she's with the swamp thing, the colors are beautiful. if you had paid attention to my dramatic dialogue over the past several years, you would have noticed the many times i'd plagiarized mr. gaiman's phrase to "pool and puddle".

nana and papaw are still staying in shreveport because nana's cough hasn't stopped. unfortunately, neither has mine. after reading black orchid and the first two chapters of jane eyre, i slept until 6:20 a.m. i haven't slept since then, and i can't stop coughing for some reason. time to take more of sarah's prescription cough medicine.

if maggie weren't an inside dog i'd open up the door to sarah's room. i've brought such a stale, ill smell to it.

at noon sarah and i have a date to go to a park. it's sunny, so hopefully that will warm the air enough for my weak lungs to not burn away in the cold. hmm, it's only 64. at least i brought my glove/mittens and beanie.

oh. my. fuck. violent, crippling cough has returned suddenly.
