jennifer, cat and i returned to kerbey lane on thursday night/friday morning. the guy, matt (that's what the ticket said at least), for whom i made a construction paper version of himself was our waitor again. he tried to remember what we drank but couldn't. i was in the middle of making a cardboard turtle i'd found a pattern for on crayola.com when we left, so i finished it at the table. i gave him an orange bandana so he could be michaelangelo. at one point he asked if we needed anything else, "[something], [something], me to dance?" and did a little jig. i told him he could have the turtle if he danced more, which he did. he'd been singing along to the soundtrack that night, which included "personal jesus" and "stop me if you think that you've heard this one before" (smiths). that made me happy to hear in public; that's one of my favorites i think. he yelled "bye, guys" when we left; that was nice. anyway, the point is, i don't think any of my kerbey lane targets have actually known they were targets. i'm sure he's picked up on that by now.

virginia's mom went to tiajuana yesterday, so she spent the night. we watched monsters inc. since she hadn't seen it. this morning i got up at 10:30 so we could go see kill bill (v.a. had to go to work, though). we stopped at the krispy kreme near it, and i got some paper/cardboard hats they had sitting out. naturally jennifer and i wore them as we ate and watched an extremely zealous four-year-old boy bounce around as he watched the donuts being made.

kill bill was okay. i'm too ADD for the nine hour long fight scene toward the end, so i just laid my head on the seat next to me and waited for it to end. don't get me wrong, it's a really interesting movie with a wonderful soundtrack (which is true of all quentin movies), and i really like watching the way they fight. well, except for when they do lame things that's obvious they're just tied to a bungie and being bounced around. i know that's part of the appeal to some people, but to me it's exceedingly dumb.

i really liked lucy liu's character just because she was a fucking bad ass. there's an animated section telling her past that is really amazing. her bodyguard, go-go is so pretty. she's only seventeen, but "what she lacks in age she makes up for in madness." she wears a school girl's uniform which adds to her cuteness.

and my savings begin: i've got $134 stashed in jennifer's room. now only about $800 (at least) to go, which i'm sure i can [hopefully] do. ahh enough of this talk.
