fat music vol. 4

i'm at work right now. sadness. i worked til midnite last night as a cashier, and then from 8:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today i'm supposed to do an event. i'm staying in the office til noon since this garage is always dead; then, i'll work til 2:30, the two hours that are expected to actually have customers. last night, i sat for eight hours and received precisely three people: one normal customer, my ticket i had dale validate for me, and a delivery guy who delivered food i already had. ugh, it was awful. i was at the middle seat, with the dell that only has mcgann on it. sean was doing school stuff on this one, dale was using the other one, so i was left making confetti out of a flyer for night permits. it was tragic.

after work, jenn (who got home from work just ten minutes before me) and i sat in the kitchen talking and goofing like we do so well. layla called and insisted i play spoons with them so it'd be a bit more involved (they only had three people). by this point it was midnite-thirty, but she said i could leave after an hour. there was a chick there from her French class who was really cool; she works at kerbey lane. we played spoons (i only took 2.5 shots) and talked about terrorism and boys and other random things. i left at 3:00 a.m. and drove to campus because the radio was playing wonderful music, and i was in a fabulous mood. i drove back after a while, went to whataburger, then came home. i slept on the futon with my alarm clock and cell phone set to wake me up. i got up at 7:30 a.m., left at 7:40 a.m., and had time for an ever so delicious danish from 7-11. i even got that frozen vanilla cappucino thing from last year, putting it in a regular coffee cup so it's a dollar cheaper. yum. last night i was in such a goddamned wonderful mood. i think it was making up for the shit jonathan was pulling the other night, and me wanting to kill myself. x_X wow, maybe the gods do have mercy after a while.

blah blah. um, did i mention i got my car back? noop. it cost $150, plus $55 to tow it. i just got a tune-up, which included spark plugs. the diagnostic alone cost $80, so that brought it to $150. he was going to charge me $160 for new spark plug wires and to put them on, but jennifer and doug both said you can get the wires for like $40, and doug said that i could put them on. they bled the brakes for free, whatever that means, and since the guy who towed it had me put gas in it and it started, i didn't need a fuel pump. the guy at pep boys said something about my serpentine belt, but doug said it was just checked this summer when the new alternator was put on. anyway, i've got my car, and i'm happy. next weekend if jonathan doesn't work, i'm going to bring him down here. the weekend following next, my mom, sarah, doug, nana, and papaw are coming. how fun is that?

anyway, i guess that's all for now. i'm not particularly sure what to write about since it's so early, and i'm so tired. i don't know why...two hours is so enough. psh.

"i don't know, but i've been told that good things come in time."
