yesterday owen and i went to see 1408, courtesy of that $50 alamo card amy gave us. stephen king has never really seemed interesting to me. the shining obviously is a good movie, but it's the same basic set-up. alone in a haunted area and weird shit happens. big deal.

1408 was rather interesting, though. it went a little beyond just seeing people and waves of blood. it even had someone almost freezing to death like the shining. the best part, though, is i don't think i would have liked it so much if john cusack hadn't been the lead. he is so amazing, and he doesn't even seem to age!

i would bone that man til we both went blind.

in other john news, a guy i went to high school with is apparently living in austin now. i think he's one of the few people i wouldn't mind hanging out with again. the thought of hanging out with someone you haven't seen in six years is rather strange to me, being the antisocial butterfly i am. but i remember him being very funny and awesome, and funny and awesome are two adjectives i can get behind.

does chelsea dare leave her den of mystery on fathom circle to have a good time with someone other than owen? news at 8.

and, on the topic of clients of prostitutes, you should see the movie johns if you haven't. it's got david arquette and lukas haas. mmm lukas haas...

yesterday i took my car to get fixed. there were a myriad of of problems which amounted to $1014 in repairs. the most notable? MOTHERFUCKING AIR CONDITIONING. word.

well, now it's time to go waste the entire day playing zelda. w00+!

<3, chels

p.s. the pixies were on acl last night. when they played acl fest, i was ten feet away from them. man, are you jealous! unless you're owen, who was standing right next to me. ;)
