another thrilling trip to viewtown

did you know that thanks to the splendors of FOIL, (3x+9y)(6x+4y) equals 18x2+66xy+36y2? man, algebra is great.

i drove home this morning because uncle ray died yesterday morning. it's so surreal; it's been years since anyone so close to me has died. i don't really want to talk about it, so i'll just put in some pictures i took today.

this is what i stare at for three hours once i get off i-35 and onto highway 31.

in corsicana. it used to be some kind of store or something, but it's currently for sale.

i hate the people of hubbard. they had a parade that closed 31 forever in the middle of a saturday afternoon. i got nasty looks from the cops when i turned down main street (the parade route) to get around the intersection. anyway, this picture is to illustrate the fact they still have xmas decorations up. nice.

they sell nuts...

good ol' bob's in kerens.

apparently razzmatazz has her own ranch.

i dyed my hair purple the other day. i guess you can't really tell, though.

hmph. how dare they make shreveport share with such a wretched place.

this is the intersections of high and cotton in downtown longview. if you go fast enough (around 50-55), you can get a roller coaster effect.

i think this is the tackiest thing i've ever seen. the old people who own this place used to live next door to us.

ava was very happy to see me. :D

mom said it looks like she's turning her head and asking, "what did you say?"

in our front yard. we've got like 17 pine trees or something.

for all of you who ask, "do you seriously live on mary jane drive?" yes, and people constantly take our street signs. the city finally replaced them all with hardcore heavy duty ones that are nearly impossible to remove.

mom and i had to go to the school board to drop off an application for sarah to go to the good school again next year (it's out of our district). i liked all the shades of green out front.

in the back yard. around the same time i took a million pictures of sarah. they came out much lighter, though, thankfully.

mom and doug got a storage shed, but because the yard slopes the door's really far up from the ground. they haven't gotten steps for it yet, so you can see the ghetto cinder blocks in the background.

the pool obviously hasn't been taken care of since summer.

that's actually the moon. tomorrow it's full.

doug brought home a gigantic darth vader head because, well, that's just the kind of thing he does. not anymore, though; he quit toys r us. they're a bunch of souless bastards he just couldn't stand anymore.

darth mother.

darth sibling.

i discovered this bump on the back of my leg, just above my knee. i couldn't tell if it was just a pimple or if something had bitten me. when i get bites, they usually get pus-y. this thing, though small in diameter, stuck out like half a centimeter. it was huge, and you could see tons of pus in it. i was able to squeeze it four times and get pus, the last time it was the chunky kind. then it just started hemorrhaging, so i had to stop. it was pretty awesome, though. our bodies are fabulously disgusting.

so, i'm completely exhausted. g'nite.

<3, chels

p.s. we watched stranger than fiction tonight. it was actually pretty good. i recommend it. i also saw derek when we went to super 1. it's crazy how he's always working when we go. he's one of a handful of people i actually miss from here. ;( he asked for my number, though, so maybe he'll call some time.
