today's entry begins with kitties!

ok, to be fair i'll add doggie pictures, too.

darby and scully, owen's dogs.

me and darb hanging out, watching "dirty jobs" with mike rowe. his front paws were draped over my leg. this dog is gigantic.

owen's dad drove us around penn lake. the level's really, really low, so part of it looked nasty and muddy.

he also took us out to this place by the dam on the lehigh river where the water flooded up over the road for several days. you could see a cooler up in a huge tree. it was on a hill and still stuck over the road 10 feet.

see the cooler? see the wee little river way the hell in the background? i can't even fathom it.

this was up the highway where we turned around.

we drove by the dam next, which is totally awesome.

we then went to jack frost, but the snow was pretty shitty. oh well, snow is snow, and it's certainly more than i'll see in austin. this old dude tried to give us a hard time about walking around where people were skiing. owen's dad tried reasoning with him, saying he worked there and we just wanted some pictures. ultimately we had to go see one of the guys in charge and have him be like, "yeah, whatever, get some good pictures." i wanted to go laugh in that old dude's face on the way out.

i know it's blurry, but you can still read it. that's what counts.

yeah, i'm VIP.

me taking a picture of owen taking a picture. how cosmic.

xmas trees grow wild here!

i'm happy i remembered my kitty shoes!

can you see how tired i am? my eyes won't even open all the way. apparently only the employees can have these beanies; owen's dad bought us each one. the chick in the gift shop was freaking out when i put it on, and owen's dad said to go ahead and put it in my pocket til we got outside. jack frost just got new management, and some pregnant chick lectured the employees for an hour and a half on how to get fired. x_X his dad also bought me a zipper pull to add to the millions on my camera. w00+. the chick at the gift shop said, "wow, that's a nice camera."
"yeah, it's an 8 megapixel."
"ohh... :stares:"

we have to leave at 09:00 to see owen's crazy religion uncle and family. booooo. i guess it'll be entertaining if nothing else.
