i am typing now from the original hinkypunk, my very first computer. he was a laptop who died from viruses two and a half years ago, and who has been sitting in my parent's front room since then. doug took it to someone to see how much it would cost to fix, and they said $243. owen fixed it today while i was at work for nothing. i even have all the files that were on him previous to his demise.
all those really early LJ and diaryland entries were made on this computer, and it's nice to come back to him. oh well if he doesn't have enough memory to play runescape. oh well if he's only got 4 gigs of hard drive. oh well if there's no cd burner. i <3 him dearly.

p.s. in longview owen and i got awesome nes games. he got metal gear (ooh) and dragon warrior, and i got, all for a dollar, hogan's alley, rampage (!!! hours spent on my commodore 64 playing this), faxanadu, and ghosts and goblins (!!! a precursor to ghouls and ghosts, one of my favorite genesis games with a most awesome soundtrack).
