i got another letter from dad last night, in which he included his email address. it was at AOL, so i added his name to my buddy list. i sent him a lengthy email and saw he was on tonight, so i IMed him.

we talked for a while about random stuff: old movies, mystery science theatre 3000, depression, work, his belief i write well. that last one was odd considering i wrote his email this morning at his old typewriter while watching drew carey and martha stewart.
he's going to send me $100. thanks to that, owen and i are now the proud owners of seats 101 and 102 in row g of the orchestra at the february 24th production of phantom of the opera. yay for dad.
