this is a tribute to the anniversary, the best band EVER!

aaaaaahhhhhhhhh! i just got back from seeing the anniversary, and it was THE BEST EVER!!!!! they didn't play many old songs (only "the heart is a lonely hunter" and "perfectly"), but it was still amazing because of what happened AFTERWARD. we borrowed $2 from this guy and girl in front of us. he said he'd be at saves the day on friday wearing the same hoodie, so i'm going to pay him back! anyway! layla bought a shirt, and i bought a shirt with her money and the guy's money and four quarters of my own. there was a pretty sticker with three of their floweredy a's, but it was $1, and neither of us had money. i found one on a piece of wood, so i took it! i felt too bad taking from their merch table.

anyway, i spotted the drummer, and we ran to get his autograph. i don't like him, though, because he doesn't appreciate his fans (when i couldn't find a pen right away and said he'd have to compensate with a picture, he looked at another guy, sighed, and said, "it never ends." then last time he was bitching because everyone liked the old album). then i saw jim, one of the guitarists. he was extremely drunk, and he signed our tickets and took a picture with us. he said we'd enjoy the face he made. i told him this was the third time i've seen them, and he asked, "oh god, why do you keep coming back?" i said it was because i totally loved them but that i've always wanted to hear "all things ordinary," and that the next time i'm going to find them before the show, drop to my knees and beg. he said, "and we'll play it. we were just too wasted and lazy tonight!"

then in the distance i saw josh, the other guitarist, and we got his signature. some really super adorable guy in a great hat and hello kitty shirt took our picture (me, josh, & layla), and layla took their picture. i was talking to josh and showed him the sticker i had stuck to my finger and said, "i had to steal this because i didn't have any money."
"ah, it's ok, whatever you gotta do, you know?"
"yeah, but it's so pathetic: :holds him arm: i love you so much i couldn't steal from you."
":takes my arm: c'mon, we'll go get you a sticker."
so he motherfucking took me to the merch table, got both of their stickers they were selling, their two new buttons, and a button of the drummer i already had. that's $6 worth of stuff! aaaahhhh!!!! i was like, "ah! now i have like a billion buttons!"
":laughs: well i'm sorry."
"no no! that's good! thank you so much!"

THEN!!! as i was moping, having to leave without seeing adrianne, i see her come from backstage! i got her to sign my ticket, but layla had no film left! aah! :( i even had my camera in my car! as she was signing, i said, "dude, you and kim deal are like my heroes."
"that means so much to me to hear that. i just got to see kim deal with the breeders in england! she's my hero, too!"
"oh my god! that's amazing. it's so sad i still haven't seen her."
"yeah, she and her sister are so awesome. they'd sacrifice the beginnings of songs to take swigs of beer and light cigarettes, but i was like :shrugs: ok!"
"god i can't wait til i get to see her!"

adrianne and i have the same hero! that means i'm cool like she is! :giggle: i couldn't find justin, though. :( i took a picture of just him during the show, but i think he moved when i took it.

when layla and i had to leave, we screamed all the way to the car, sat in the car for at least five minutes screaming at the top of our lungs, then went to ihop and squealled some more. our waitor knew we were drunk some, and he was so nice and funny. right before we left, a really cute guy named jeremy sat in the booth next to us, and i asked if he had a lot to do tonight (he had his backpack). so we talked to him for like 20 minutes or something. he said that he'd see us later if we're there on mondays or wednesdays. i'll have to make jenn go with me wednesday after i get off work or something. :grins: he studied latin, greek, spanish, french, italian, and german, and is now going back to school majoring in chemistry. and he's left-handed. left-handed people are really cool to me.

so i'm going to go try to read or something. ahasldfhwoeifhowfhwfnwlefaz. that's how i feel! aaaahhhh!!!!
