yeah, sorry that last entry was so long; i didn't realize the extent of what i was writing. i thought it was kinda funny how i say i have to stop and then add two paragraphs. ;P
well, for once i can say, bless mathew russell. i went to tell him what i'm going to write about (feminism and anne sexton and crap like that, to quote layla, "oh, the usual?"), and he tells me that i have to commit one to two pages on anne sexton's form and the idea behind these essays we read in class. though i'll most likely draw from two sections of her poetry with different styles of writing, i'll still be able to write it. that cuts the actual analysis to six pages, a page and a half for each poem. piece-o-cake matt dear. if i do well on that paper, i'll pull a C, which is fabulous (because it's passing). it was so adorable, hearing him get excited (for him) about feminism. he said seeing gloria steinem was great, that she was so powerful and made you want to go, "yeah!" hehe. we talked about how it was hard for guys, too, the image they're supposed to have. he said it took him a while to not care about having an english degree and wanting to teach, and when people ask him, "hey, wanna watch some football?!" being like, "um...no?" he said that the feminine mystique was a great book, so i'll read that this summer.
i'm going to go lie down for a bit, til jenn finishes registering. if she'll go with me, i'm going to go to the arabic store on duval and try to find something neat for jonathan. the stuff in the window looks so cool, so i want to look inside. plus i'm feeling antsy for some reason and want to get out even though it's 9,000,000� outside.
